Lokion is now providing our clients with helpful insights into audience/consumer thoughts and trends with a service called Buzzwatch.
Buzzwatch uses technology to search the blogosphere, sifting through conversations, comments, and reviews for selected words and phrases. The irrelevant data is filtered out (for example, splogs – those spam blogs used to manipulate search engines). Our team reviews the captured data and categorizes and analyzes the "buzz" associated those terms. We look for trends, interesting observations, key conversations and influencers. Then we make recommendations based on the data and provide a condensed, easy-to-use report.
Marketing teams, public relations departments, customer service groups and product managers all can benefit from this data. It helps to:
- Keep an eye on overall brand perception
- Investigate new product possibilities
- Head off potential customer service issues
If desired, we can compare the data gathered by Buzzwatch with information gathered by your company through customer service channels, polls, surveys and other feedback mechanisms. In this way, you can see how what is said about a product/service/brand on the web stacks up against what is said directly to you. Used in conjunction with usability studies and focus groups reports, this view into online consumer commentary provides actionable insights in a cost-efficient manner.
